I just found out that my twin sister flipped her car over this morning. She is pregnant and wasn’t hurt at all…but still…scared the crap out of me.

The next meeting of the Centennial Station homeowners is scheduled for Wed, April 18 at 7:00 PM in the clubhouse.  Please make an effort to attend.  A couple of updates:
1.  the pole lights in the parking lot and the pool area were repaired by Georgia Power and all should be operational.  (please call me with the number of the pole if you notice one not working–with the longer daylight, I’m not there very often when the lights come on).  the underground cable had been compromised in several locations, and a new cable had to be installed (drilled under the parking lot and the sidewalk).
2.  yes, the television was stolen about 2AM on March 4th.  the perps were caught on camera (three young guys in a white truck).  they broke out the bottom half of the clubhouse front door with a brick.  the alarm was not on.  one of the CS homeowners was walking his dog and saw them and called 911.  it’s not clear at this time whether these guys were the ones recently apprehended.  the tv has not been recovered.  additional security measures are being investigated.
3.  the pool is a seasonal pool now due to the outrageous cost of having a gas meter large enough to heat the pool, NOT including the gas needed to heat it. because of the way the gas is priced, it’s not just the gas that is used, it’s the availability of the gas based on the size of the meter.  essentially, two years of a gas budget was spent in about 4 months.  thus, the pool will officially open on May 1 and be open through mid-Sept.  if the inspection by the city occurs before this time, I’ll let you know.
4.  a new, smaller gas meter is being installed to service only the grill.  this should also be ready by May 1.
5.  a reminder that all parking spaces are assigned to Units, and there is no visitor parking inside the gate.  this is a tow zone, and if a car is parked in your assigned space, it can be towed.  we’ll discuss the procedure to do that at the meeting.  if you have any questions about which space is your assigned space, please call me.
6.  there are still a few owners of remote transmitters who have not called to update their information in the callbox.
I’ll send out an agenda for this meeting on Monday, April 16th.  send topics that you want to talk about to me ahead of time to be sure that time is allocated to cover these.
thanks, have a nice weekend,

My parents keep nagging me to get some paper work complete but I keep forgetting….so Sean has taken it upon himself to do my work. Yes, even I can be lazy and forgetful at times :)

Sean just brought me McDonalds for lunch  here at City Hall. He had tennis practice this morning. I don’t know how much longer I will keep this part-time job. It’s really good money for a part-time position and I hate to give it up until I know when exactly we will be moving to Chicago. I should find out sometime this week whether or not I get the job at Hedgestreet….I’m praying! If I don’t get it then I will have to wait to get a job once we’ve already moved to Chicago unless someone is willing to hire me over the phone.

Sean and I played tennis tonight. It’s been years since we’ve played but it was a lot of fun. We’ve joined a tennis league here in Atlanta so we have something to do while we are still here.
